You do not have to play on your nominated League day, however you need to suggest 3 non-consecutive dates to the away team not including the Play By date.
You can reverse the fixture if you are struggling with court availability. If a date cannot be agreed or you are rained off, then the Play By date has to be used. Results must be with me by 8pm on the Play By date (players names and scores) so I can inform your next opponents.
Any problems please inform me and a decision will be made as to which team progresses to the next round.
Rules are the same as the League with the addition of:
1. The Mens and Ladies doubles are played first, Mixed second.
2. In the event of the match being 4-4 (or 2-2 if weather affected) then the team winning the most games in these rubbers wins.
3. If games are level, a match tie-break (first to 10, 2 clear points) is played by a Mixed pair (does not have to be the same as the match pairs)
4. Players can only play for 1 team in this event. Players appearing for another team will cause all rubbers in which they are involved to be declared null and void.
5. In the event of a match not being played the Away team will move through to the next round. If their next match is not played and they are away then the home team will move through, unless the home team are in the same situation then a coin toss will decide who progresses
6. In the Final only those players who have played in previous rounds may be selected. If either team cannot fulfil the team from those players then they may select from those who have played in that team in the Summer League.
